My Grandmothers old Silver Plate Tea Set looks NEW again. I always remember that beautiful old Tea Set setting on the Dinning Room Table for everyone to see. My Grandmother was so proud of it as it was a wedding gift from her father. She always kept it so nice & shiny. Later as she got older and moved into a nursing home the set got packed away. I found it in the attic in horrible condition. I thought it was ruined forever. I did just what you suggested and cleaned it first with the Metal Brite Super Plate, Then used the Medallion Liquid Silver  & WOW, what a difference.Grandmother would be so proud of how it looks now.
