ITEMS NEEDED

1. Metal Brite Activator Recommecded  or  Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda (usually found in the bleach section of your grocery store). The instructions will list other products that may also be used. Or you may purchase our Metal Brite Activator  along with the plate.

2. Non Metal Container large enough to hold Items to be cleaned.

3. Hot tap water

4. Dry Towel
**Note: pre-wash all heavily tarnished items first in mild soap and hot water.

VERY IMPORTANT to keep the water HOT(not boiling) and the plate clean. Before each use give the plate a good scrubbing with an abrasive cleaner such as Comet, SOS or Brillo pad. While using it,  take the plate out frequently and wipe with dry towel, flip over and use the other side. This will prevent the buildup of tarnish on the plate. NEVER leave the plate in the water when you are not using it. Just wipe and set aside till you are ready to use it again.  Remember, Metal Brite Electrolytic Plate will not remove any of the underlying metal.  I know you will enjoy using this very simple easy and safe method to clean even your most delicate antique sterling and silver plate items.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

BELOW ARE THE EASY TO USE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE OF THE METAL BRITE ELECTROLYTIC PLATE USING THE ACTIVATOR,  ARM & HAMMER SUPER WASHING SODA OR POWDERED CALGON.   ALL INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ARE INCLUDED IN OUR METAL BRITE PACKAGE.  WHEN USING THE METAL BRITE ACTIVATOR PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PRINTABLE INSTRUCTION PAGE ALSO INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE.  THE ACTIVATOR IS CONCINTRATED AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE AS MUCH.

STEP ONE.

Use one heaping tablespoon ARM & HAMMER WASHING SODA OR CALGON per quart of water or 5 per gallon. Pour appropriate amount of HOT water into non metallic container** and stir to dissolve powder. Now place your Metal Brite Plate into the solution. YOU MAY USE A STAINLESS SINK BY PLACING A MAT OR TOWEL IN THE BOTTOM.

Place item to be cleaned on plate.

Plate will only remove tarnish to the depth of the water. A larger container with more solution may be used for larger items.

Items may be rotated to clean more of the surface.

Continue rotating until entire surface is clean.

Wipe with Dry Towel and repeat dipping if needed.

To enhance and preserve the luster, lightly buff with (optional) Polishing Cloth. Metal Brite does not remove any of the underlying Silver, only tarnish. Heavy Tarnish damages your Silver. If your silver is slightly dull or grayish after using the Metal Brite Plate, just lightly buff with polish or polishing cloth to restore the shine. Best if finished with MAAS Metal Protector for a long lasting shine.
